To simply use unusual typefaces, colours, words joined together, or misspelt words is not sufficient to make a trademark distinctive, or acceptable.
Classes of Goods and Services: When you apply to register a trademark, a list must be included of all goods and services for which you want to use the trademark. TRADEMARK REGISTRATION IN THE EUROPEAN UNION
It is possible to register a trademark in all of the countries of the European Union with one application via the Community Trademark System. Upon registration of a trademark with the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market the trademark will be registered indivisibly across all of the European Union member states. Trademark registration in the United Kingdom is achieved by lodging a formal application with the United Kingdom Patent Office. The process is a long and complex one, taking up to six months to effect if there are no objections, and up to a year if there is an appeal. It is possible to register a trademark in all of the countries of the European Union with one application via the Community Trademark System. Upon registration of a trademark with the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market the trademark will be registered indivisibly across all of the European Union member states. The rules and law for the registration of a community trademark are similar to those of the United Kingdom as described above.
